Four AI chatbots assessed Ethereum’s prospects into December 25, with most leaning toward an upside scenario. ChatGPT put a 45% chance on $3,200–$3,600 by December 25, 25% on a break above $4,000, and about 10% on a slide below $2,000, while Gemini estimated 29% odds for a $2,000 drop. Others saw $4,000 as more plausible absent shocks.

Ether fell from the $3,175 area and is trading under $3,000 and the 100‑hour Simple Moving Average. After printing a low at $2,916, price is consolidating; resistance sits near $2,980, $3,050 and $3,080, while support is seen at $2,950 and $2,920, with deeper levels at $2,880, $2,840, and $2,800.

Ethereum's annual revenue has slid from $2.52 billion to about $604 million as Layer-2 networks retain more transaction value and remit a small share in settlement fees. BitMine's BMNR holds 3.66 million ETH and recently added 38,596 ETH, yet ETH stayed below $3,200 and BMNR fell 9.17% with Q4 down 32%.

According to a daily update from CyrilXBT, ETH is stabilizing after a selloff, trading near $3,131 while remaining below the 50-day EMA around $3,281 and resistance clustered near $3,300–$3,400. Initial support is around $3,050, with a broader $2,750–$2,900 demand zone and the $2,905 low pivotal; a firm close above $3,300–$3,400 could refocus $3,500.

Analytics platform DeFiLlama reported that in the past week, major cryptocurrencies moved with unusually tight price correlations, led by a 0.99 reading between Bitcoin and Solana. Ethereum also posted strong links to Cardano, Solana, and Dogecoin, while BNB stood out as comparatively disconnected from broader market moves.

J.P. Morgan has introduced a $100 million tokenized money market fund on Ethereum, expanding its activity on public blockchains after arranging a $50 million commercial paper issuance on Solana. The new My OnChain Net Yield Fund (MONY) invests in U.S. Treasuries and fully collateralized repos, with tokenized shares held in investors' blockchain addresses and accessed via Morgan Money.

XRP continues to attract institutional capital, with Spot XRP ETFs posting 19 consecutive days of inflows and $20.17 million added on Friday. Cumulative inflows stand at $990.91 million and AUM is $1.18 billion, while Spot Ethereum ETFs saw $19.41 million of outflows last week. Despite upbeat sentiment, XRP's price remains near $2, highlighting a disconnect between demand and spot performance.

On Monday, MetaMask announced native Bitcoin support, enabling users to buy BTC with fiat, transfer it onchain and swap between BTC, EVM assets and SOL. The update follows earlier 2024 launches such as Solana integration, a Polymarket onramp, an mUSD stablecoin and in-app perps trading via Hyperliquid, and ties into MetaMask's upcoming MASK rewards program that includes over $30 million in LINEA incentives.

On December 15, 2025, CoinGecko reported Solana topped blockchain mindshare in 2025 with 26.79%, ahead of Base at 13.94% and Ethereum at 13.43%. Solana’s share fell 12.0 percentage points from 2024, while Sui and BNB Chain more than doubled, reaching 11.77% and 9.05% to enter the top five.

JPMorgan Chase has introduced the tokenized My OnChain Net Yield Fund on Ethereum with $100 million in internal seed capital, targeting institutional and high-net-worth investors. The fund, operated by JPMorgan Asset Management via the Kinexys platform, tokenizes money market fund shares and focuses on bond-based assets. Ethereum's role in on-chain financial products continues to grow as its market value and dominance evolve amid recent price declines.
