Japan’s five крупней brokers post sharp April–June profit gains, Nomura net up 39.2% to 145.5 billion yen

AI مارکیٹ کا خلاصہ
Japan's five major brokerages reported sharp YoY profit growth in Apr–Jun, driven by stronger bond trading amid rising rates and elevated equity turnover linked to semiconductor-related rallies. Expanding commission income and solid inflows into investment trusts and discretionary wrap services suggest improving capital-markets activity and investor engagement. The results support a constructive near-term read-through for risk appetite across developed-market equities and financial intermediaries.

Five major Japanese securities firms reported sharp year-on-year increases in consolidated net profit for April–June. Nomura Holdings posted net profit of 145.5 billion yen, up 39.2%, while Daiwa Securities Group rose 80.6% to 56.4 billion yen and SMBC Nikko Securities jumped 2.5-fold to 26.7 billion yen. The gains were driven by stronger commission revenue from active bond trading amid rising interest rates and brisk equity transactions tied to semiconductor-related shares. Investment trust funds and fund wrap discretionary asset management services also contributed, according to Jiji Press.
