Crypto spot volumes sink to 2026 low as weekly average slips to $15B

Crypto spot trading activity continues to cool, according to The Kobeissi Letter. Kaiko data covering 44 spot exchanges show last week's average daily spot volume fell to about $15 billion, the lowest level this year and roughly 70% below the January peak. By comparison, February saw two sessions where spot volume topped $100 billion. The Kobeissi Letter also notes that since December 2025, the average daily volume trend has slid about 50% to around $20 billion, another year-to-date low. Trading remains heavily concentrated, with the top six exchanges generating more than 60% of overall activity, a sign that liquidity across the crypto market is thinning.
