Solana Foundation has announced plans to build a permissionless bridge between the XRP Ledger and Solana, aiming to enable XRP's more than $120 billion liquidity to access Solana DeFi. According to Solana Foundation representative Vibhu Norby at Solana Breakpoint 2025, the bridge will use LayerZero and HexTrust technology and make XRP function like a native Solana asset in dApps.
